You can cook live crab by steaming or boiling the crab. There are advantages to both methods. Steaming the crab in a crab steamerproduces a white and very "crabby-tasting" flesh and some of the body meat is lost when the crab is cut in half. Boiling the crab keeps all the meat in the shell, but many people claim that the crabs body juices can tinge the crab meat a yellowish color and make the crab meat a bit less sweet tasting.

Items You Will Need

Here's a few items you may want to have handy.

Crab Steamer

Salt or Sea Salt-We prefer Morton's Sea Salt-coarse.

Crab Boil (Optional)- We use Zatarain's Shrimp and Crab Boil. Use it sparingly, though, as it can over-take the crab flavor if you're just steaming a few crab legs.

A Pair of Tongs

Your preferred crab legs (Snow Crab Legs, King Crab Legs, Dungeness Crab Legs, or even Red Rock Crab)

Got everything? Great! Now just follow these 3 simple steps...

Step One, take your crab steamer and fill with water just barely over and into the area with the holes. This allows some of the water to steam away and still have plenty left over to cook crab legs if they are frozen, and yet, not enough water to boil the crab legs.
Step Two, add, approximately, 1/4 cup of the Sea Salt to every gallon of water you are using and the crab boil according to their directions as well, (remember not to go over board with the crab boil). You can add your favorite herbs and spices in the water, too. Cover with a lid and wait for the water to boil.
Step Three, once the water is boiling, you place the crab legs into the steamer. Cook crab through, steaming them for 15-20 minutes, till they are good and hot, if frozen, or 10-12 minutes if the crab legs are already thawed or are fresh.

While eating a portion (half) of legs, it's okay to keep the other portions of crab steaming on the stove on simmer. This will keep them hot until you are ready for them. You can't over cook crab legs in a steamer.

What do you need to become a video game tester

Sure you have probably read all the different stories and sales letters out there on the Internet that tell you that they can make you a game tester earning $100,000 a year without any type of experience or education. But, do you really believe this? Of course, not. Game testing is a real job, with real requirements and real pay - not $100,000 a year.

There are some things that you will need to know and have experience with before you can become a video or computer game tester. So, here are the top four things that you will need to know before you apply for a game tester job:

1. You have to know how to test software. When I say "software", I mean any type of software out there since different games will run on different types of platforms. You will have to know how to test software to get any type of game testing job no matter if you only want to test video games or computer games. By knowing how to test all types of software, you are almost guaranteed to get a better paying game tester job.

2. You have to know game programming languages. This means that you will have to learn all the jargon of the game development world, along with some basic computer language, such as C or C++, to help you truly understand the different things that are going on in the game. You can learn most of these different types of languages from online courses or from local schools.

3. You have to have a good working knowledge of PC hardware and software. This means that even if you want to be a video game tester, you will need to know how to work with computers and be familiar with everything about them. You will need to know different programs as well, such as databases, spreadsheets, and word documents.
